Peony meanings include prosperity, good fortune, beauty, joy & eternal love
Each year I create a new digital drawing of a PEONY that is inspired by shaded drawings on etching plates.
The PEONIES are an experiment in creating NFTs on different blockchains, platforms & contracts as well as being artworks to be enjoyed. For each chain, contract and/or platform, a variation of that years PEONY will be created.
If you collect all of this years PEONIES, you are eligible for the patterned artwork that features all of that years PEONY variations. Information about this opportunity will be giving via Instagram at the start of 2024.
DESIGN
Each POENY variation comes in an edition of that year - so in 2023 in editions of 2023 of which 50% are not for sale (where possible) and are kept for use in IRL onboarding sessions.
So by buying available editions, you buy acquiring an edition you also support others being onboarded.
Prizes for editions are kept low - between 0,5 or 1 euro/dollar depending on the chain. Do keep an eye out on Instagram or Twitter for some free ones to collect too. When a years ends - al left editions are taken off market.
TEACH
NFTs can be created in editions, just like photographers & graphic artists do when they created limited edition prints. They can be a 1/1 edition or it can be many more, even unlimited - just anything the artists decides.
Setting up a larger edition + lower fee per unit creates a low entry for collectors to support an artist. It is almost like giving a 'like' - only now with a small financial reward attached. And the collector gets an art piece in return, that they now own & can use.
Collectors generally like super limited editions, or 1/1, as these are more 'rare'. But issuing higher editions makes that more people get to enjoy the use of an artwork. For artists, these smaller fees in higher volume can be interesting financially and it also means that they can create a connection with many more collectors.
